What will you be heating your house w/ this year?

Now that oil is more expensive many people are switching to wood and pellet stoves, outdoor wood furnaces, etc. We have no choice but to keep our oil this year but thought about installing a small monitor heater to help with the cold side. We called the “heat guy” (lol) who said that he’s heard great things about certain type of electric heaters and they’ve only cost people about 11 dollars per month.

We have a propane gas furnace, but use an outside wood stove, that heats up water too. It works great! My husband fills it up with wood twice a day…that’s it! If it did run out of wood, our gas furnace would kick on. The great news is….we haven’t had to buy propane gas for a little over 2 yrs now. We were filling up our tank every 2-3 months. Huge money savor and it paid for itself in 1.5 yrs.
